Fiscal demands and budgetary constraints are driving city, county, state, and non-profit service providers to streamline services. As populations of people who are inmates and ex-offenders age and grow in numbers, as family support service requirements increase, the call for alternatives to incarceration and aftercare increases.
NSM is answering the call by filling the gap in two ways: Providing hands-on services and gathering and coordinating service resources in the community. NSM is functionally supported under government faith-based initiatives, but needs immediate and consistent funding to serve its increasing workloads. |
